The Wildscreen Festival is the world’s leading international festival celebrating and advancing storytelling about the natural world. Held every two years, the Wildscreen Festival brings together the wildlife film, tv and photography community to transform the craft of natural world storytelling across platforms and across audiences. Through an unrivalled programme of events including workshops, masterclasses, screenings and sessions, it shares the inside track on emerging trends and is the most powerful platform for emerging talent to break into the industry.  It is also the home of the illustrious Wildscreen Panda Awards or ‘Green Oscars’ honouring the most remarkable achievement in the craft of natural world filmmaking and storytelling.

The majority of events have a limited numbers of seats. Entrance is permitted on a first-come-first-served basis at the venue door. For particularly high-profile events, you may be asked to RSVP to secure your seat beforehand. Details will be sent to you in advance.

The programme include both industry events, which are included in the price of your day or week delegate pass, and public events that anyone is welcome to attend.

Broadcaster and Songwriter
Tom Robinson is a British songwriter and broadcaster born in 1950. His music career began in London in 1975 with the acoustic trio Café Society. He first enjoyed chart success with the Tom Robinson Band (TRB) who were early supporters of the UK’s Rock Against Racism movement. Unusually for the time, Robinson was openly gay and a vocal supporter of LGBT rights.

In the eighties Tom had further hits as a solo artist ands co-wrote songs with Elton John, Peter Gabriel, Dan Hartman and Manu Katché. In 2015 Tom recorded his most recent studio album, Only The Now, with violinist and award-winning record producer Gerry Diver. The album includes guest appearances by Nitin Sawhney, John Grant, Martin Carthy, Nadine Shah, Billy Bragg, TV Smith and Sir Ian McKellen.

Tom made his broadcasting debut as a DJ on the BBC World Service in 1987. Since then he has hosted programmes on all eight of the BBC‘s national radio stations and won two gold Sony Academy Radio Awards. He was on the founding team for BBC Radio 6 Music when it launched in 2002 andhas become known as a champion of new emerging artists via BBC Introducing. Tom currently hosts three shows a week on 6 Music and hosts his own music blog for independent artists.
